The summit of Mt. Zermula is the arrival point of this route before descending and offers superb natural scenarios. 360-degree views can be enjoyed near the summit cross, at 2143 metres, from where you can admire several mountains, such as Mt. Zuc della Guardia and Mt. Pizzul to the south, Mt. Neddis and Mt. Dimon to the west, Mt. Creta di Lanza to the north and Mt. Creta di Aip to the east. To the west, you can clearly spot the village of Paularo and, on a clear day, also Ligosullo and Treppo Carnico, part of the Incarojo Valley and the Pontaiba Valley.
From this privileged viewpoint, numerous remains of the Great War can be seen on the grassy slopes of the mountains. They are mainly remains of trenches dug by Italian troops to prevent possible attacks of the Austrian army from the north.
