Description
A show conceived by Mr. Claudio Margiore, a Trieste-based philanthropist, with the aim of introducing Trieste's folk songs and the many facets of the city's culture (linguistic and religious minorities) to new generations. The 2026 edition will maintain the objectives of disseminating and raising awareness of Trieste's culture among new generations, combining them with an educational-musical experience, which involves preparing the songs and performing them on stage, accompanied by a live ensemble. The 2026 theme will be typical Trieste dishes. The show will feature around ten songs, in which the protagonists will always be children (from Trieste's Scipio Slataper, Biagio Marin, and Dimesse primary schools), who will sing Trieste songs. The music, as mentioned, will be intertwined with acting, with theatrical performances by actor Julian Sgherla and actress singer Fabiana Polli. To enrich and make the event even more local and original, the singer-songwriter Massimiliano Cernecca (aka Maxino) will perform the closing song with the children, Trieste nel mio cuor, a song composed by Maxino himself especially for the show.
