From 14 to 24 September, the Trieste Festival – The Lighthouse of Music, the city's leading classical music festival, returns for its fourth edition. Over 11 days, the festival will present 20 events, including symphonic and chamber concerts, special projects, family performances and music events across the city.
The 2026 edition celebrates several important anniversaries, including the 270th anniversary of Mozart's birth, the 75th anniversary of the Camerata Salzburg, the 100th anniversary of the birth of Trieste violinist Franco Gulli, and the 10th anniversary of George Michael's passing.
Highlights include performances by Emmanuel Pahud, Enrico Bronzi, the Camerata Salzburg with pianists Lucas and Arthur Jussen, Francesco Lanzillotta, Benedetto Lupo, Ton Koopman, and Francesco Piemontesi. The programme also features the traditional Festival Grand Ball, a tribute to Franco Gulli, the chamber opera Le donne vendicate, the music and dance performance Falling from the Sky at Miramare Park, and the Hausmusik concert series held in venues throughout the city.
