Description
The Historical Museum and Park of Miramare Castle in Trieste presents the large group exhibition “Naturae. Environments of Contemporary Art” located at the former stables. It explores the theme of nature and its deep connection with human beings, curated by Melania Rossi. The exhibition runs from December 6, 2024 to November 9, 2025 and is part of the Miramare contemporary exhibition.
On display are more than fifty works by eighteen contemporary artists from different generations and geographical backgrounds: from the works of masters such as Rebecca Horn , Hermann Nitsch , Marina Abramovic and Mimmo Paladino, to site-specific installations specifically for the exhibition by Pietro Ruffo and Josè Angelino from unpublished works by Serse Roma to the particular installations of Marta Roberti to the visions between East and West by Liu Bolin.
The exhibition project addresses the complexity of nature and the man who investigates it, in a multiplicity of meanings and themes: the presence of man in the landscape, the relationship with the body, with time, with the beauty of natural forms and with physical laws. The continuous exchange between the outer and inner world thus generates a boundless space in which culture and nature merge and become visible through the artists' imagination.
