At the Tita Piaz mountain hut with Gelindo dei Magredi

Description

Cereals: from plant to grain

The first event of the new edition of “In Rifugio c’è più gusto!” takes place at Rifugio Tita Piaz, managed by Massimo, and hosts the Gelindo dei Magredi farm.

The day’s program includes an educational workshop to explore “cereals from plant to grain,” all the way to flour production.

At lunchtime, visitors will have the opportunity to taste traditional dishes prepared with products from the participating farm and with wild herbs from Passo Pura, as well as sample local wine specialties.

Participation in the workshops is free and does not require booking.

For more information about the event, please contact Rifugio Tita Piaz (Massimo) at +39 331 3568500 or via email at info@rifugiotitapiaz.com.

Rifugio Tita Piaz, also accessible by car, is located in Ampezzo, just past Passo Pura, in the Val Lumiei (in Friulian Cjanâl di Lumiei), one of the seven valleys of Carnia. Surrounded by unique landscapes, it is an ideal starting point for numerous excursions.

Gelindo dei Magredi is a well-organized and peaceful rural tourism center located in the green countryside of Vivaro, within the Magredi area, a wide grassland (Special Protection Area for birdlife) at the confluence of the Cellina, Meduna, and Colvera streams, at the foothills of the Friulian Dolomites.

For overnight stays, please contact the refuge directly.
