As a special event, our Basilica will host ‘Oltre i Confini – Beyond Borders’, the inaugural tour of the SolidaRoad 2026 project, organised by the San Luigi Scrosoppi Ets Association

The star of the evening will be the National Honoured Academic Transcarpathian Folk Choir, the prestigious official ensemble of the Transcarpathian Region (Ukraine), which will bring to Friuli Venezia Giulia a repertoire of sacred and traditional music capable of recounting, through the universal language of music, the history, culture and identity of the Ukrainian people.

The initiative, sponsored by the municipalities of Grado, Udine and Lignano Sabbiadoro, marks the launch of SolidaRoad 2026, an international project for cooperation and solidarity promoted by the Scrosoppi Association. For several years now, every summer, the project has been welcoming to Lignano Sabbiadoro children with disabilities and those who have lost their fathers due to the war, from the Transcarpathian region, offering them a period of peace, care and togetherness. SolidaRoad, however, looks beyond the summer stay: it was set up with the aim of building lasting relationships between Italy and Ukraine, promoting pathways of collaboration, inclusion and development for the benefit of the children, families and communities involved.
