The Borarium is celebrating its first anniversary by launching a new series dedicated to climate change.
On Monday, September 28, at 6 p.m., the series of events titled “Change in Person” kicks off with a participatory workshop led by Irene Ivoi.Monday, September 28: a new workshop on sustainable behaviors with Irene Ivoi and the two exhibitions of “Signs of Change”
Throughout October, the Borarium will also host two exhibitions.
-“Climate Postcards from the Future” showcases the results of the July 16 workshop: drawings, texts, and thoughts on the landscape of tomorrow—imagined by participants of all ages—have been transformed into illustrations by six artists from Trieste and the surrounding area: Jan Sedmak, Giovanna Giuliano, Paolo Pascutto, Aleš Brce, Giulia Silipo, and Giulio Quarantotto. One of the postcards will be turned into a 6x3 poster on Via Fabio Severo.
-“Degrees of Change” is a traveling photo essay by photographer Marco Covi, created in locations across Friuli-Venezia Giulia that are significant from a meteorological and climatic perspective: through post-production editing, the photographs highlight, within everyday contexts, the rise in temperatures recorded in each location, based on data provided by the Alpine-Adriatic Meteorological Society, the museum’s scientific partner.
