Casera Casavento on the footsteps of the Dinosaur

Leaving the car at Pian de Cea we descend on the ford that crosses the Grave da Giere. Once past the ford we climb along the dirt road on the right and, at the first fork, continue to the left. We travel along the tree-lined road and exit the forest at the fork for the Landre Scur. Continuing straight on, we reach Casera Casavento (947 m) in a few minutes.

We keep the casera for the return trip, and continue toward the dinosaur footprint site. Before curving toward Casera Casavento, in fact, we see in front of us the sign indicating the direction to the Dinosaur Footprints: we follow the dirt road to the large information board, and arrive at the crossing of the Ciol de Ciasavent, which must be passed by walking on the boulders. To our right is a splendid waterfall. Across the stream, there is another information panel from which we can see the large sloping boulder on which the two footprints are imprinted.
