Alpine hut Pramosio - Cason di Lanza

From Casera Pramosio at 1521 m, you ascend along a narrow road, partially paved (CAI trail marker 402), until reaching just south of the Pramosio Pass. At a marked fork, turn right and, after crossing the pass at 1800 m, enter Austria. Just below the pass, you join trail marker 403 of the Karnischer Höhenweg, which you follow to the right, descending to the junction at 1400 m with the road coming from the Untere Bischof Alm. Following the road uphill, you reach the Obere Bischof Alm and from there continue towards the Zollner Hütte at 1738 m. Still following path 403 of the Karnischer Höhenweg, you reach Zollner See lake and cross along the northern slope of Monte Lodin at altitude. After passing a wide saddle, you intersect the road leading to Waidegger Alm and continue descending along trail 403 to Straniger Alm, located at 1501 m. Then you take the road leading to the Meledis Pass and shortly before reaching the pass take the left fork towards Kleinkordinalm. At a ridge, leave the road and follow trail 403 to Sella Cordin at 1749 m. Crossing the border, you quickly descend to Casera Cordin Grande, near which you take CAI trail 451, first almost flat and then with a steep descent, leading to the paved road of Passo del Cason di Lanza. Following the road uphill, you soon reach the pass and the farmstay Casera Cason di Lanza at 1552 m.
