Walking with animals in Tramonti di Sotto
18Oct2020

The photos you see were taken by me on a Sunday in August. The sun was already high, it was really hot, and my husband and I had no intention of joining miles of traffic jam to reach the sea. So we opted for a relaxing day in touch with nature. The San Floriano Park is always sure to fulfil expectations.
I prepared a small rucksack with water, a blanket, sandwiches and a ball, and within a few minutes we were already at the Park’s parking lot at Polcenigo. The co-operative offers guests a shuttle that runs from the parking lot to the park itself. On the advice of our daughter, we took advantage of the service and, exchanging a few words with the friendly driver, we found out that there was a children’s workshop and water games scheduled for that day. We felt as though we were on holiday!
We had a picnic and played with the ball, rolled around in the grass and gave the donkeys something to eat. We walked on foot, accompanied only by the sounds, the scents, and the energy that nature emanates. When we arrived at the end of the park, and while my daughter was making a boat with corks together with some other children, we relaxed with an excellent apple juice and a slice of a woodland fruit cake.
The San Floriano Park is recommended for all, big and small, sporty or not, because it is really good for the health! For those who do not know, with its archaeological site of Palù di Livenza, the springs of the Gorgazzo torrent, the San Floriano park, the castle, the historic centre and its stone houses, Polcenigo has been included as one of the most beautiful villages in Italy!
I look forward to seeing you in the foothills of Friuli!
