La Magia del Natale - Presepe subacqueo del Lago di Cornino

The underwater Christmas on Lake Cornino returns: a unique event in the region for its charm and particularity, visited over the years by thousands of visitors. On the evening of 24 December, after the Holy Mass celebrated on the shores of the lake and after the blessing of the statuette of the Infant Jesus, the divers of the Friulian Diving Association dive into its icy, crystal-clear waters to bring the statue of the Infant Jesus to light from the bottom and place it in the centre of the lake, next to the other statues of the crib that will silently advance pushed by the divers and enveloped in the dim reflected lights. Once they reach the centre of the body of water, the comet will light up above the Child, to celebrate the magic of Christmas. The crib will then remain visible until 6 January.
