Cycling route through the Friulian countryside above the Risorgive line, rich in rural architecture, connecting Codroipo to Middle Friuli.
Route:
Starting from Codroipo you cycle towards San Lorenzo and Coderno, where the birthplace of Father David Maria Turoldo is located, "the restless conscience of the Church": poet, essayist, prophetic figure in ecclesiastical and civil contexts, a staunch supporter of cultural and religious renewal inspired by the council, he was one of the most representative figures of the change in modern Catholicism. His house is also a stone house! Between stone houses and country roads you finally return to Codroipo.
Food & wine:
The Turnary Dairies are a method of milk management suitable for small-scale cheese production where members use the milk from their cows and take turns transforming it. The cheese they produce is called Latteria cheese, made from raw milk, obtained without the use of industrial cultures.
