The route starts from the Piancavallo Infopoint (via Collalto 1). After passing the entrance roundabout of Piancavallo, take Via del Cansiglio slightly uphill. Continue without deviations along the paved road with a gentle descent, where you can admire large beeches that keep it shaded, until reaching a sharp right turn. After a few tens of meters, continue right along the trace of the old mule track that connected the Baracca del Sauc to Piancavallo. At this location was the Baracca del Sauc, a historic establishment from which the route also takes its name. What strikes and welcomes the hiker is the landscape, giving the impression of being completely immersed in nature.

Proceed slightly uphill through the beech forest until reaching Via dei Rododendri. Go right and then turn left onto Via dei Ciclamini, passing the beautiful buildings of the locality. The road reconnects with Via del Cansiglio.

Return to Piazza della Puppa in Piancavallo.
