“Ars Obscura” è un viaggio nei territori estremi dell’underground musicale italiano, che affonda le proprie radici in ritualità antiche e arcane con ispirazioni letterarie e cinematografiche, e offre una fotografia alternativa del nostro paese nel quale un certo tipo di musica, come per esempio il black metal, viene spesso associato a generi considerati appannaggio esclusivo del Nord Europa. Dal Veneto alla Sicilia, dal Piemonte alla Puglia, passando per la Lombardia, l’Emilia-Romagna, l’Abruzzo e il Molise, andremo alla scoperta di un panorama musicale rigorosamente improntato su tematiche “oscure”, che passa dal metal più estremo al rock cimiteriale, fino al dark folk e al dark ambient. Le band intervistate raccontano la loro storia e ricostruiscono la genesi dei dischi analizzati nel libro.
