Dank der besonderen Lage und der schwierigen Verbindungen zu den Nachbardörfern haben sich hier alte Traditionen erhalten, sowohl in der Sprache, einem mittelhochdeutschen Dialekt, als auch in der Gastronomie und bei den Kirchen- und Volksfesten, wie dem Ritus des Karnevals, bei dem im Mittelpunkt der Rölar, von Ruß bedeckt und mit lauten Kuhglocken ausgestattet, und der Kheirar stehen, mit einem großen Besen bewaffnet.
