Katja Hrobat Virloget è professoressa associata e direttrice del Dipartimento di Antropologia e Studi Culturali della Facoltà di Studi Umanistici dell’Università del Litorale di Koper/Capodistria, nonché pro-rettrice in carica della commissione per la ricerca scientifica d’Ateneo. Nelle sue ricerche interdisciplinari si occupa di migrazione, movimenti di popolazione, antropologia della memoria e dello spazio, processi patrimoniali, folklore e mitologia. Attualmente dirige due progetti: “Etnografia del silenzio/dei silenzi” e il progetto europeo “CERV: RE 4 Healing: Crossborder Remembrance, Reconnection, Restoring and Resilience”.
