Route: Codroipo – Villa Manin – Udine (P028)

This route winds through the Friuli plain along an easy and pleasant bike path, ideal for a leisurely ride through farmland, canals, and small rural towns. The route passes through a landscape typical of the low-lying plain, characterized by quiet back roads and a peaceful, relaxing agricultural setting. Along the way, you’ll cycle through Pasian di Prato and reach the villages of Variano and Basiliano. The route passes near the Rivolto military airfield, home to the Frecce Tricolori National Aerobatic Team. With a little luck, you might catch a glimpse of their spectacular maneuvers during training. After passing through the town of Rivolto, you’ll arrive in Passariano, home to the magnificent Villa Manin—a splendid 18th-century residence with a monumental park—which is well worth a stop to visit. In Codroipo, you can observe the phenomenon of resurgent springs at the Parco delle Risorgive. Codroipo is also a stop on the Friuli Cycle Route, and additional bike trails branch off from here.
