Gravel route on the left bank of the Tagliamento river from Tolmezzo to Lignano Sabbiadoro on dirt roads and on the embankment for an elevated view of the Friulian countryside.
The left bank of the Tagliamento river is recommended for lovers of dirt paths: the route passes through San Daniele del Friuli, where the renowned San Daniele ham is produced, paired with DOC Friuli-Grave wines produced in the plain along the river. Cycling towards the river mouth, you encounter small rural villages with houses built from stones collected in the riverbed. In Codroipo is the natural park of the springs, a unique habitat of spring waters with a great variety of plants and flowers, also equipped for a picnic stop. Not far from the center of Codroipo is the 18th-century Villa Manin, immersed in a park with monumental trees. Reaching Latisana, you cycle on the river embankment until its mouth at Lignano Sabbiadoro, a seaside resort with golden sand.

There are still a few kilometers on busy roads between Rivoli di Osoppo and Majano. Pay attention when crossing the SS13 in the Codroipo area.
The route is hilly up to San Daniele, then becomes flat until the mouth of the Tagliamento river (Lignano Sabbiadoro) with some gentle ups and downs. The route runs along paved roads, dirt roads, and cycle paths. Due to the type of dirt present, this route is suitable for MTB and gravel.
