Itinerary
The Collio Brda Classic is a cross-border Italian-Slovenian cycling race, part of the Giro d'Italia d'Epoca circuit, dedicated exclusively to cyclists with vintage bikes and uniforms. It takes place in September in the lands of the Italian and Slovenian Collio (Brda), home of the famous white wines. Along the route, several stops can be made among villages, castles, and villas. Upon arriving in Cormons, it is worth a visit.
Food & wine
Border land famous for Collio's yellow gold: white grape varieties from which the renowned DOC Collio wines are born. Those cycling in this area can taste, among the varied wine offerings, Collio Bianco, Ribolla Gialla from Oslavia, Malvasia, and Friulano. This territory offers a cuisine born from the union of different gastronomic cultures: Italian, Slovenian, and Austrian. Local cheeses and cold cuts are to be tasted. RECOMMENDED DISH: Risotto with the Rosa di Gorizia (highly prized IGP red radicchio).
Cormons is connected to Gorizia and Udine by regional trains where it is possible to transport bicycles.

Regional trains (Trenitalia) can transport bicycles along the Trieste - Udine - Venice route.
In summer, the BiciBus service is active, a bus with a closed trailer for 40 bicycles: - from Cormons to Grado with stops at Gorizia, Gradisca d'Isonzo, Redipuglia, and Monfalcone

Near the Cormons railway station. On Alcide de Gasperi street, there is a large free parking lot.
