This is a route that leads to the places that have shaped the history and economy of the settlement of Cimolais, also allowing you to appreciate the morphology and natural aspects of the Valle Cimoliana and the imposing mountains surrounding it.

From the parking lot by the Cimoliana stream, near the Park Headquarters, take and follow the cycle path along the stream, first reaching the equipped green area of Prè de Cecio and then the environment that once hosted ancient mills and sawmills powered by water. Among the remains of these buildings (explanatory panels), there is one restored (former sawmill). The road, now unpaved, continues uphill along the wide bed of the Cimoliana stream, passing two large buildings: the first, the Foresteria Mugolio, is named after the essential oil distillery of mountain pine that was previously housed there; the second, once a brick kiln, currently houses a herd of chamois goats. Just beyond this building, you reach and cross the Ponte Compol, and after passing the entrance gate to the Val Cimoliana, you descend right towards Pian dei Sediei (equipped green area) until arriving at the Ponte di Lesca, located over a small gorge created by the crystal-clear waters of the Cimoliana stream. Returning the same way to Ponte Compol, take the valley of the same name, going up the dirt road, appreciating the imposing presence of the Cima dei Preti massif above, the highest mountain in the Park. At the end of the dirt road (ford), return to the Val Cimoliana road and follow it out, keeping right, passing the farm seen earlier upstream and reaching, with a short climb, the wide terraced meadows of Bresin, where you find ancient barns partly restored, hay meadows, and grazing animals. Passing the Camping Bresin, you reach the village of Cimolais, cross its historic center, and arrive at the Park Headquarters (Visitor Center and Information Office) and the parking lot below.
