Start from the PromoTurismoFVG Infopoint. From the entrance roundabout of Piancavallo, take the main paved road descending towards Aviano. Immediately after, turn left onto the forest road near the electricity cabin for the Passeggiata della Malghe. The trail passes the entrance to the adventure park and enters a beech forest. After exiting the forest, about 100 meters ahead there is a left curve. Here a short trail to the right leaves the forest road to reach the viewpoint from which it is possible to admire the entire plain and lagoon on the clearest days.

Return to the forest road and shortly reach Casera Collalt. Pass the shelter and immediately turn left following the CAI 990a signs. You will soon find yourself immersed again in the forest among beeches, sinkholes, and wide clearings. The pristine environment favors encounters with mountain wildlife

The path reaches Collalto, on Via Policreti which it crosses. Continue downhill to the service road for the snow clearing vehicle depot.

Continue right until reaching Via Collalto. Turning left, you return to Piazzale della Puppa.
