CHARACTERISTICS:
The first part of the route crosses a beech wood. Then it stretches on open ground on gentle, never steep, slopes. As there are no particular differences in height, the itinerary is suitable for those who want to go on an easy and little tiring ski or snowshoe tour. The view is interesting especially on the southern side as it ranges over the plain below.
After leaving the asphalt road near some houses, go towards the Malga Caseratte hut and then towards the Casera Valfredda hut, leaving it to the right. After reaching a low col, descend on the northern side across gentle slopes. When you reach a wide clearing, go south until you reach the col that is the destination of the itinerary.
Go back along the same route or following the Le Ronciade wood, which almost on level ground will lead you back to Piancavallo.
