The
cathedral museum of
Udine, dedicated to the Patriarch Blessed Bertrand from Saint Geniès, is
hosted in the 14th century chapels of Saint Nicholas and Corpus Christ and in the adjacent baptistery.
Here the visitor may admire sculptures, in particular the
14th century marble ark, 14th and 15th century paintings and fresco.; gold objects, part of the Cathedral Jewels. In the showcase there are sacred vestments, belonging to the Patriarch's 14th century funeral trousseau.
The top halls of the cathedral museum are dedicated to
textile art, sacred and devotional jewellery, thus creating a tour among paintings and sculptures that illustrate the history of the Cathedral from its origins to the 18th century.
